Teams announced for 2008 Rockerball season

The teams participating in the 2008 Australian Rockerball season have been announced. The games first organised team, the Sunshine Coast Bulldogs, will compete. Three teams will compete in a modified round robin format. The Bulldogs will start the season against the East Coast Warriors at the Lake Field @ Mountain Creek.Both teams will face each other the following week before an interstate team, Traralgon Tyers United play home games against them.

The 2008 Australian Rockerball season was launched last night. There were several big announcements.
1. Three teams will participate in main competition
2. The grand final will be played at the Fisherman’s Road Sporting complex
3. Games will be broadcast weekly at australianrockerball.com
4. The 2008/2009 Summer Series will kick off at the end of November
5. Actress Emily Browning is being sought after to star in the next Rockerball film, The Irishman and the English Chick. Browning starred in the 2002 horror film Ghost Ship.
Of the five announcements, the casting of Browning, who starred in the 2002 horror Ghost Ship, was the most surprising.

Webcast Cancelled

The live webcast has been cancelled. We will how ever be streaming shows on our webcast page (coming soon).

Live Webcast Test
March 28, 2008

We will be conducting an experiment to test our capability of doing a live webcast.
Live webcasts will allow people to watch games from their homes.
The experiment will be Friday April 4 to Sunday April 6. Times TBA.
